Teach English as a Second Language (ESL) Help those who are learning English. Requires a couple of hours commitment each week. Must be 18 or older. Contact the Jefferson County Literacy Council at (920) 675-0500

Babysitter. Babysit one night a week for the children of ESL learners from 5-7PM on Tuesday. Contact the library at (920) 478-3344

Meals on Wheels Driver. Deliver afternoon meals to the elderly who participate in the meals on wheels program. Requires about an hour commitment each week. Must be able to drive. Contact the library at (920) 478-3344

Food Pantry. Help to sort and distribute food. Contact Dave at (920) 478-3041

 

Bethesda Lutheran Communities: Caregivers
Caregivers support adults with developmental disabilities living in group home settings throughout the state of Wisconsin.
Job duties include:  assisting with personal cares (bathing, toileting, eating, etc.), general ADL’s (activities of daily living), use of adaptive equipment, documentation, and nurse delegated tasks such as catheter care, g-tube feedings, blood glucose testing and insulin injections, and seizure care/procedures.
Requirements:  18 years of age, pass criminal background check, TB skin test, able to lift 50 pounds and valid drivers license.
Training is paid and is provided by Bethesda Lutheran Communities including: CPR and First Aide certification through the Red Cross as well as Fire Safety, Standard Precautions and CBRF med pass administration.
